Street Tree Information

The Department of Public Services is responsible for the care of all street trees, between the curb and property line and all trees in the parks throughout the Village. Maintenance is performed by a tree-service company that provides removal, trimming, stump grinding, cabling and fertilization.

New trees are planted each year as funds are available to replace the many old or damaged trees in the community. Each year since 1993 the Village of Milford has been a Tree City USA Community through the National Arbor Day Foundation. A tree-planting ceremony is planned during Arbor Week and local
school children are invited to participate in the occasion. Seed packets and educational materials are handed out to the children.

For a list of trees that are allowed to be planted in the Village, as well as those that are prohibited, call the Village office at (248) 684-1515.
