Milford Skatepark

Milford Skatepark - July 2023
The idea of a skatepark in Milford first emerged over 20 years ago, and several volunteer groups over the years have stepped up to try and bring a skatepark to the community. Building on those past efforts and the lesson learned along the way, a group of local students and their parents approached the Village in 2016 about the potential of making this project a reality.

In 2017, Spohn Ranch was hired as the design/build contractor for this project. Subsequent ad hoc committee meetings and a public design charette resulted in the final design. This park is designed to accommodate not only skating, but other non-motorized, wheeled activities, including BMX. A successful crowdfunding effort through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation's Public Spaces, Community Places program, coupled with in-kind donations, allowed the project to be constructed in the Summer of 2020.

In October 2020 the Milford Skatepark opened for use. 

SKATEPARK HOURS: 9:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.

Users of the Milford Skatepark are expected to adhere to the following rules & guidelines.

MILFORD SKATEPARK RULES
  • The skatepark is open for use between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
  • Any excessive, unnecessary, or unreasonable noise, including music and voices, which disturbs or disrupts the peaceful enjoyment of the adjacent residential community, is strictly prohibited.
  • Skateboards, scooters, BMX bicycles, and roller skates/in-line skates are permitted. Motorized vehicles are prohibited.
  • The addition of ramps or other obstacles is prohibited.
  • Food and beverages are prohibited within the skating area. Glass containers are prohibited.
  • The use of alcohol, tobacco/vaping, and other drugs is prohibited.
  • Pets are prohibited in the skatepark.
Violations may be subject to fines, seizure, and prosecution.     


MILFORD SKATEPARK GUIDELINES FOR USE     
  • No supervision provided. Skate at your own risk and know your own ability.
  • Adult supervision recommended for children under the age of 10.
  • Practice proper skating etiquette. If you don’t know – ask another skater.
  • The use of protective equipment such as helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards is strongly encouraged and should be used at all times.
  • Spectators should remain outside the skating area.
  • Be respectful of other park users.
