Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

CDC Slow the Spread of Germs Graphic

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020 Village Offices will close to the public through Monday, April 6, 2020. We will continue to evaluate the situation and follow the advice of our County, State, and Federal health officials, so this timeline may change based upon that advice.

Our Village staff remain at work and are available during normal business hours via phone and email to answer questions and assist with permits, payments, and other services. Our online services remain available 24/7 and we will be waiving the credit card processing fees during this office closure. Payments may also be placed into the drop box outside the building.

Effective March 20, 2020, all public playgrounds have been closed at the direction of the Oakland County Health DivisionOther recreation options remain available, but social distancing (minimum of 6+ feet apart) and frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer are encouraged.

All public meetings continue to be open to public participation as required under the Michigan Open Meetings Act, but we encourage members of the public to exercise caution and follow the guidelines issued by public health agencies. If you feel ill or show any symptoms of illness, please refrain from attending meetings. You can contact the Village offices with any questions about agenda items and comments may be emailed to info@villageofmilford.org.

This is an ever-evolving situation and we continue to communicate with various public health officials and alter plans accordingly.

Impact on Shopping & Dining
On March 16, 2020, the Governor ordered the closure of dine-in operations for restaurants. In order to help our local restaurants as they shift to carry-out and delivery operations, the Village has suspended the enforcement of the parking meters downtown during this time.

The Milford Downtown Development Authority has organized a list of restaurants offering carry-out during this time, as well as a listing of revised business hours for other local businesses.
