If a vehicle has been impounded, you need to contact the tow service to make arraignments for payment for any tow service and storage fees. If a hold was placed on the vehicle for an ongoing investigation, the hold must be first released by the arresting officer or the investigations division. The tow company will inform you if the vehicle is unable to be released due to a hold.
