Anne Doroghazi
Anne Doroghazi PhotographThe partially clothed body of 20 year old Anne Marie Doroghazi was found in the morning of September 29, 1981. The investigation determined that she had been killed at an unknown location sometime between September 27th and September 28th. She was discovered in a ditch near Camp Dearborn off of General Motors Road and west of Martindale Road in the township of Milford. The Oakland County medical examiner said she had been strangled. It is believed robbery was not a motive as her purse containing money was found near the body.

Anne Doroghazi had worked with the camp maintenance crew for three years at Camp Dearborn and lived in a trailer/ home at Camp Dearborn. She was last seen in Milford near Camp Dearborn approximately two days prior to the discovery of her body on September 29, 1981. Anne Doroghazi did not have a car and would walk along General Motors Road to a nearby gas station to buy pop or cigarettes. Numerous people were questioned and leads were developed on one or more possible suspects, however the lack of evidence and information kept investigators from making any arrests.

Anyone who may have seen Anne Doroghazi walking along the roadway or knows anything regarding the case, please contact the Milford Police Detective Bureau at (248) 684-1815. You can remain anonymous.
