Update Regarding the Proposed Addition to the Veterans Memorial in Central Park
The Village of Milford received a proposal in February 2015 from the Friends of American Veterans to alter the design of the existing Veterans Memorial in Central Park, and place a fallen soldier memorial (field cross) in the memorial in place of a previously approved element.
At its April 20, 2015 meeting, the Milford Village Council unanimously approved the installation of the new memorial in Central Park, subject to the final design being administratively approved by the Village.
The Village of Milford is a community that honors its veterans and believes in the importance of recognizing their sacrifices to protect our freedom. It is our hope that the final design for this addition to the Veterans Memorial will reflect the values of our community and serve as a respectful tribute to those who made the supreme sacrifice.
