Voting Information

 
At the age of eighteen, an individual may register to vote at any Clerk's office or Secretary of State's office. In order to vote in any election, an individual must be registered to vote at least thirty days prior to that election.

The Village of Milford is divided into four precincts, Precincts 5, 6, 7, and 8. Elections are held every two years in conjunction with Township elections.  The next Village election is scheduled for November 2012. 

Three Village Councilmembers are elected every two years for a four-year term. The Village President is elected every two years. All elections for the Village of Milford are held at the Milford Civic Center site, 1100 Atlantic, Milford, MI. Election hours are established by State statute, with polls opening at 7:00 a.m. and closing at 8:00 p.m.
 
Absent voter ballot applications are NO LONGER SENT AUTOMATICALLY TO THOSE 60 YEARS & OLDER as mandated by recent legislation in Lansing.  Please contact the Milford Township office if you are 60 years and older and/or want to be placed on a "Permanent Absent Voter Application" list at 248 685-8731.
