UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ord., 231, Art. XII, Sec. 94-344 (b), Recreational Vehicle Storage
Mr. Lomako passed out copies of his letter dated May 25, 2008 (on file at Village office) and the Recreational Vehicle Storage and Screening Requirements ordinance for the Village of Milford. He also reviewed the letter and the mark-ups submitted by Goodenow with the Commissioners. Mr. Lomako told the Commissioners that if this version is something they felt comfortable with, the figures and illustrations from the original draft could be incorporated, then presented at the next meeting, where a public hearing could be set.
The Commissioners, Mr. Lomako and Mr. Sapelak discussed the following: whether recreation vehicles would be allowed in front yard if screened, if construction trailers would be treated as RV trailers, the lengths of RV’s allowed in the Village, whether open or empty flat bed trailers would be regulated as RV’s, the length of time for a grace period that would require compliance and the type and height of fencing and screening.
Zasuwa stated that he was against storing recreational vehicles and/or utility trailers in the front yard.
Goodenow said he could go along with this if temporary parking for maintenance was seventy-two (72) hours instead of twenty-four (24) hours.
Mr. Lomako explained to the Commissioners why he had a maximum five year period for previous owners instead of a three year period. He discussed keeping this time frame or changing it to a three year period with the Commissioners.
PC-08-26 Keef moved, Amerman seconded, to direct Wade Trim to make the changes discussed tonight and resubmit for review at the next meeting in July. Motion CARRIED
