UNFINISHED BUSINESS MHS
Band Fundraising at Summer Concerts
Theriault thought it makes sense for the band to sell at concerts. Everyone agreed and Worrell mentioned that he had spoken with Ms. Kinzinger about the concept of the band doing a concert “in kind” for the community. The commission agreed to make a decision in early spring at the March meeting.
Worrell presented a 7 page document that he was asked to show the commission from Ms. Kinzinger regarding the Summer Concerts. It was a draft of an organizational structure to encourage a larger committee of volunteers to coordinate and run the concerts.
PR-08-13 Worrell moved, Porter seconded to endorse the concept of the organizational structure for the Milford Summer Band Concerts submitted by Ms. Kinzinger, concert coordinator, as presented tonight and agreed to encourage her to approach the Milford Village Council. Motion CARRIED.
Plantings for Goose Control in Central Park
Parks met with Ann Barnette, DDA Director, to confirm the current plan for Central Park. The last one she had was 2002. The commission thought one was done a couple of years ago by John Grissim. M. Davis said he has a more current one than 2002 and will get everyone a copy. Worrell proposed we locate the latest plan and place the river bank on next month’s agenda. Whatever is decided on will then have to get approval by DDA and Village Council.
NEW BUSINESS
Handicap Accessibility at Janowski Park
A concerned resident had inquired about handicap accessibility at the ball diamonds. A letter was sent to her and presented to the commission from Randy Sapelak, Building Official for the Village, stating that he had contacted the state and that we are compliant.
Worrell stated that the resident has plans to join the MYBSA council and hopes to help work on some improvements to the site.
Boo Bash Update
Worrell confirmed with the Commission that they will meet on main street Saturday October 25 to pass out candy at the Boo Bash. It was decided that they would dress as the Wizard of Oz characters.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Sandy Sproule
