The municipal street lighting within the Village of Milford is provided by the Detroit Edison Company. The Village owns the equipment and Detroit Edison provides routine maintenance that includes cleaning, lamp replacement, new installations and inspection. To report a problem with a street light, call the Village DPS at 248 685-3055 or by email at rcalley@villageofmilford.org. Recent streetscape projects that the DPS will maintain have included the installation of decorative street lamps on Main Street, east municipal lot, Union Street parking lots and Liberty Street.
Street lighting provides any community a vital service in respect to vehicular traffic and overall safety from sunset to sunrise. |
