President Nader called the meeting to order in the Milford Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. President Nader led the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVE REGULAR AGENDA
CM-06-096-09 Heer moved, Rusas seconded, to approve the June 1, 2009, regular agenda as revised. Motion CARRIED.
PUBLIC HEARING
River St. Vacation Request
CM-06-097-09 Rusas moved, Kostin seconded, to postpone the Public Hearing for a period not to exceed one year, until such time that the Village is presented with the appropriate Circuit Court order pursued by the adjacent property owner. Motion CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS
Consider Planning Commission’s Suspension of Payment
CM-06-098-09 Kostin moved, Heer seconded, to suspend Planning Commissioner’s payment. Motion CARRIED.
Council stated their appreciation for the Planning Commission’s efforts to help reduce costs.
Approve Usage of Ebay to Sell DPS Equipment
CM-06-099-09 Rusas moved, Heer seconded, to approve usage of Ebay to sell DPS equipment. Motion CARRIED.
Ziegler stated this was another example of how Bob Calley, DPS Director, was working hard at saving the Village money.
Approve Contract for Village Entrance Signage
CM-06-100-09 Kostin moved, Heer seconded, to award contract with Signtext, Inc. in the amount of $8,972 for one Village Entrance Sign. Motion CARRIED.
Ann Barnette stated the Alternate Bid was for a different design.
CALL TO THE PUBLIC
Nader asked if there was anyone who wished to address Council on an item that was not on the agenda.
Larry Hewitt, 883 GM Road, expressed concerns with Coratti’s using the public right-of-way for outdoor seating, specially mentioning the fence and planter along the parking spaces. Mr. Shufflebarger stated LCC does require barriers, however he would check into this matter and get back with Mr. Hewitt.
MANAGERS REPORT
Mr. Shufflebarger stated the Village was one of three communities that was awarded the CDBG Stimulus money. Phase II of the sanitary sewer relining project was submitted and $173,000 was awarded. The Village must have bids out by October, and the project ready for next year. He was looking into whether Phase III could be done the same time as Phase II. A lease purchase agreement could be considered.
COUNCILMEMBER REMARKS
Ziegler complimented Joe Salvia and the American Legion on the Memorial Day Parade. He also commented on the Bike Trail opening held on May 30.
Glagola provided Councilmembers with volunteer applications for Milford Memories.
Kostin reminded everyone of the Senior Center Spaghetti Dinner to be held on Friday, June 5.
