Jacques provided information on taxes showing the current year loss, preliminary 2009 Loss and 2010 projected loss (on file in Village office).
She said this year they were going to benchmark services in order to show the cost of our services per each resident.
They discussed park maintenance, concerts in the park and possibly establishing a Parks Authority.
They discussed wages, union and non-union and health care.
Jacques reported that since the change to the HSA our increase over a two-year period has been 4 ½ % compared to 12-15% per year.
She said the local/major road fund balance has been exhausted and any repairs will come out of the General Fund fund balance. She said we have about $800,000 in our fund balance.
Shufflebarger said any matching grant monies could also come out of the General Fund fund balance. He mentioned water and sewer repairs, green roofing and retro fitting the Civic Center to become more energy efficient, as possible grant projects.
He discussed the stimulus package and whether local government will actually see any of that money.
