Re:      2011 Parking District Special Assessments

Attached is the 2011 special assessment roll for maintenance of the downtown parking district as well as the deficiency calculation.  These calculations are made for each parcel to determine the amount of parking required under the Village’s zoning ordinance.  Credit is given for each space actually provided by the business and the difference is their deficiency.  The Parking Authority has requested that the base amount remain at $140.00 and the deficiency fee remain at $55.00 this year.

We have received no objections to the roll at this time.

Please keep in mind that the calculations are based on businesses existing as of January 1, 2011. The Parking Authority provided the following changes from last year’s roll.

1.         16-10-228-002 – 525 N. Main

            a.         130 seat restaurant (Kosmos’s) changed to 80 seat restaurant (Ruggles Deli).

            b.         Vacant changed to medical  (Dr. Ahern)

            c.         Vacant changed to 2,000’ retail (Trail’s Edge)

            d.         Vacant changed to 800’ retail (Cobby Goose)

 

2.         16-10-278-002 – 453 N. Main

            a.         Vacant changed to 500’ retail (Instinctive Interior)

            b.         Vacant changed to 300’ retail (Advanced Adjusting)

            c.         Office changed to 2 bedroom apartment

 

3.         16-10-278-006 - 435 N. Main – Vacant changed to 1192.5’ retail (Home Again Decor expanded into vacant space)

4.         16-10-278-022 – 345 N. Main

            a.         875’ retail (The Source Skin Care) changed to vacant

            b.         875’retail (Just Dogs) changed to vacant

            c.         1,112.25’ office (Bear Insurance) changed to vacant

 

5.         16-10-278-023 – 341 N. Main – One bedroom apartment changed to retail (Yoga Center)

 

6.         16-10-278-034 – 417-431 N. Main – 798’ Office (Milford Travel) changed to 798’ retail (Hoots)

 

7.         16-11-104-015 – 155 E. Commerce – Vacant changed to 483’ Office (Physician Billing Solutions)

 

8.         16-11-107-024 – 400 N. Main – Vacant changed to 574’ retail (Knitting Circle)

 

9.         16-11-108-009 – 414 Union – 22 employees, 20 exam room changed to 6 employees, 5 exam rooms (Milford Medical Village)

 

10.       16-11-151-023 – 332 N. Main – Vacant changed to 400’ retail (New Moon)

 

11.       16-11-151-024 – 317 Union – Office changed from 4,684’ to 3,324‘ (Chamber of Commerce building)
